MRCSS Web Site Updates for 2008

The meetings page was updated with meeting dates and times for the months of January 2009 through May 2009.
The officers page was updated for 2009 with a new president and secretary. The e-mail a member page was also updated with the new officer information.

All of our previously posted meeting minutes have been converted from PDF files to articles in our content management system. Doing this allows us to manage them more easily as well as search through them with the new search tool. Plus, they can still be converted back to PDF on the fly if you wish to save them to your computer in that format.February 15, 2008
Changes were made to the forums stylesheet to make the text on the buttons easier to read when posting a message.February 7, 2008
Two new module were written and activated by the webmaster. One will display the next upcoming meeting and event on the front page, the other displays a random photo with a link to the album it is found in.

The old MRCSS soaring records have been found in an old newsletter and posted to this site on a new page of their own.
Logged in membmers have a new link on the member menu for submitting their own articles.

The software used to run the photo gallery needed a major update due to security reasons. The custom theme that blended into the old web site was incompatible with the upgrade so it had to be disabled. A new theme that fits this new site a little better is on its way.

The new Joomla based MRCSS web site replaces the previous site that was up from December 4, 2005 through December 31, 2007.
